Tamara and Andreas are the heart of the Central - and you can feel it. They run the hotel with genuine passion: Tamara with her love of cooking, Andreas with his eye for the big picture.
The two are always there when you need them - sometimes in the background, sometimes right in the middle of the action. Authentic, warm, and with a keen sense of what makes your stay special.
And anyone who thinks that being a host is just a job for them has never visited.

At Hotel Central, it's not about superlatives, but about closeness, warmth and genuine hospitality. We believe that it's the simple things that make a stay special: a friendly welcome, good food, a room to feel at home in - and the feeling of being in the right place at the right time.
Those who come to us are not looking for luxury - but for peace, nature and a place that is genuine. For us, regionality is not a marketing idea, but part of everyday life: in the kitchen, in the furnishings, in the stories that the hotel tells.
If you are looking for a hotel that does not feel like a hotel, but rather like a temporary home - then you have come to the right place.
Built as a traditional Münstertal farmhouse, the house still retains the unmistakable charm of Valchava.
The farmhouse is converted into a guesthouse with its first guest rooms - laying the foundation for the Hotel Central.
The first renovations bring a breath of fresh air and adapt the house to the needs of the time.
A major extension has created new guest rooms. The facade, designed by five local artists, makes the hotel a unique eye-catcher.
Step by step, all rooms and public areas are being modernised - with a love of local larch wood, Swiss stone pine furniture and contemporary comfort.
The handover to Andreas and Tamara Pobitzer marks the beginning of a new chapter: the hotel is positioning itself even more actively as a gourmet and activity hotel.
Our rooms are just like Val Müstair itself: authentic, peaceful, and with great attention to detail. Wood, warm colors, and clean lines create an atmosphere where you can switch off and breathe deeply. Whether you're traveling alone, as a couple, or with your family, you'll find the perfect place to feel at home here. And the best view is included.
